I started my career designing Panasonic’s first e-commerce platform. From there I built investor relations tools for Disney. I worked with Google on a design system for the first “connected TV” now known as Android TV. As a freelance UX designer I’ve redesigned PlayStation.com and Toyota.com.
I joined Deutsch in 2011, where I led and grew a team of creative technologists. We replaced PopSecret.com with a Tumblr, and released digital experiences every four weeks. We built the first social “couponing” network, known as Cartwheel for Target. We rolled out a global redesign for HTC that included 34 localized variants. And we created a “dating” website for VW.com that disrupted the status quo for automotive websites.
I spent about a year at Clique Media where I led the product, design, and engineering teams. We re-platformed the company’s CMS and built internal tools for editors and marketers.
An opportunity to lead product at the NFL was created. We built a design system that has been implemented across all league digital experiences and each 32-club mirroring experiences. We set a strong cadence for generative and evaluative fan research. Most recently I lead a group of product designers in the exploration of new technologies, asking questions, with the aim to innovate the fan experience.
During COVID, spending time with family and exploring new and old hobbies was essential. Going back to coding and learning new technologies, specifically web3 tools and NFT. With a large network of friends in the entertainment industry and shifting of everyones work product; I provided custom tooling to design, build, and mint NFT. NFT projects I have contributed to have generated over $25M in secondary volume.
I live in West Hollywood with my wife, daughter, and son. I love to race cars—and maintain them myself. I am also a member of General Assembly’s distinguished faculty, teaching product, design, and occasionally coding.
